Description
The premier aviation main ship battery utilizing the patented Superior Lithium Polymer Battery, providing a safe and superbly reliable high power battery system. A lightweight minimal maintenance alternative to SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) and Ni-Cad solutions. The heart of the system is the 30AH Lithium Polymer battery. Lux Aviation has exclusive rights to this well proven battery technology for all civil aviation as well as limited military applications. The cell has greater energy per weight than any current Li-PO battery. The US military center for all battery research and contract approvals recently proclaimed that the Lux packaged battery delivers greater energy per pound than any other technology, including lead acid, NI-CADs, and NMH.
Superior Lithium Polymer Battery Cells (SLPB)
The SLPB technology was derived through the culmination of
traditional Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) technology with an advanced form of Lithium Polymer
that uses thin film lamination in the manufacture of the plates.
This technology provides two important improvements over conventional Li-ion technologies in the market today:
- A flexible form factor using stacked type cell assembly that can be combined with folder-to-folder continuous production processes. This allows shortened evolution time from a developmental prototype cell to a large scale commercial production cell.
- Vastly improved safety over lithium-ion cells due to each internal plate (mini-cell) that acts as a "fuse" when connected to the cathode/anode.
Cell Construction Comparison
Ultra-High Capacity Discharge is possible with the’s patented multi
“parallel” cells within a cell manufacture process. This process provides a
lower internal resistance than any comparable Lithium-ion or Lithium Polymer.
Charging and Charge Acceptance
The SLPB technology achieves performance without compromise to the charging time over the different energy/power densities of the products. Typical recharge is acceptable up to a 3C rate and therefore fast charging is available. Below is a typical charge acceptance chart. Further specification sheets, data, cycle life, discharge, and comparisons (Ni-cd, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, Power/Energy) with other batteries can be provided upon request.
