SAF Investor 2024 - There is no shortage of demand for SAF

it’s scaling up supply that’s the challenge

28 February 2024

The demand for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is undeniable, with airports, operators, OEMs, and customers all expressing a keen interest. Moreover, investors are poised to invest. However, the primary challenge lies in scaling up the supply of SAF. This was the prevailing message on the inaugural day of the SAF Investor Summit held in London from February 27th to 28th.

During the opening keynote, Shashank Nigam, the founder and CEO of Simpliflying, emphasized that by 2042, the global aircraft fleet will expand by 50%, growing from 29,000 to 42,000 aircraft. SAF will play a crucial role in fueling this growth and achieving the industry's net-zero targets.
